Chiang Mai

Kohsan Road in Bangkok..
The night before we left we walked along Kohsan road that is full of stalls selling jewelery, clothes and many things you didn't know you wanted, all the food stalls are portable and the sellers spend all evening moving from one place to the other up and down the street, great idea.
I love this one of a portable Kebab shop-could see it taking off along Brighton sea front.

This is a stall selling spring rolls and Pad Thai, she is cooking in a large wok, you choose which noodles you like seen on the right and if your choice of chicken, tofu or prawns and then she fries them up with bean shoots and sauces and in less than 5 min you have a plate of tasty food on the go for 70p

This made me smile, it is taken from behind a Pad Thai stall and the lady was watching a film on a portable dvd player whilst waiting for a customer

Skewered meat and chicken still with a touch of Christmas

All the different fruits to have smoothies or shakes-yes I have tried the carrot one, very tasty
We are now in Chiang Mai in the north of  Thailand, there is a definite temperature difference, it's the first time in 2 months that I have not needed the a/c on in the room and even wore a top with long sleeves last night. There are a lot of trips to be had around and about this province to choose from, trekking to hill tribe villages to see the ladies with the long necks (they have many rings around them to extend their neck) cookery courses, elephant camps, bicycle tours around the country side waterfalls, butterfly places (Mum) and an orchid farm (Mum again!)
better get off this computer as I am meant to be helping plan, it's great to have Frans around as he is organised and I can chill out lol!
