Firstly, sorry to hear about Mums back, hope you are better soon, you have all my sympathy. And hello to Mem, pleased you could join us, get your Mum on too x And Ang from Aldershot hurry up and write me an e mail.
Right, this is the new plan for next 3 days, I have decided I dont want to plod around on day trips with sour face for the rest of the week so have requested that I join the elephant volunteer project that runs from Tue to Thurs this week due to national holiday, so fits in perfectly as I leave Fri morn.
So, I am off wth 2 others to live with a Mahout in his village house and help wash, feed, ride on and generally get up close and personal with elephants (including a baby one)
It seems like a experience and I have already met the other 2 (a 21 yr old Korean guy studying in NZ and a 26 yr old girl from UK) so promised to be a fun way to end this crazy month.
Wont be on line now til Thurs evening (I am 7 hours ahead) will hopefully have some great pics and stories.
Ok I am off to pack, what do you take to live with a Mahout for 3 days?
I think my my shewee will be first on the list....
Hey Lis, Great move, you'll have a fab time. Take loads of pictures. Can't wait to hear/see about it all.
