Good morning from Cambodia

Had good trip over, got talking to a guy from Slovenia on the mini bus on way to airport and we travelled together all the way here. Shared a tuk tuk from the airport which was a crazy half hour drive, there was tuk tuks, mopeds (some with 2 adults and 2 kids on), cars and trucks all inter weaving across the roads, utter madness but fun at the same time.
Christian checked into a cheap place around the road and I went to my pre booked guest house
The Pavillion (twin room booked in the days of Debbie) with swimming pool.
It is really lovely, so clean and calm, I had the best nights sleep on such a comfy bed. Its one of the more expensive places and still only $65 per room.

Last night the two of us met up and went to the river front restaurants and had couple drinks and some food. And before you ask, no I didn't and won't be. I am just making new travel buddies...
It already seems much poorer than Thailand, saw a few people sleeping outside on streets- including children so might have to get used to that.

Had a fab breakfast and then going to chill by the pool with a book, there are loads of cozy corners with mattresses and cushions to laze about on in the shade.

These can also be used in the evenings lounge about in with your cocktail-might  just do that

Cool by the pool
How fab.
Later I will walk to the Royal Palace fairly near by and have a trip around that, this eve will meet up again with new pal and go for walk and more food and drinks.
Quite handy meeting him as I feel safer walking about in the evening.

Well done Matt for winning X Factor, he has been fab from the first audition.
Hope my sister enjoyed Sissor Sisters at the Brighton centre last night.
