Asia tummy!

I have not checked in for a few days as have been in bed with Imodium and copious amounts of water for company.
Frans arrived here on Thurs evening having travelled here by bus, boat and mini bus for 2 and a half days.
he said it was beautiful and pleased he did it.
I was already feeling a little delicate when he got here and later on that night I was not good!
The next day I didn't venture far from a loo, by 5 that evening we went to chemist to get some anti biotics.
Although it hasn't been pleasant once in 4 months is not bad considering some of the ways they deal with food here.

Yesterday we hired bikes and cycled around as I didn't want to stay in the room, we took it easy and visited a place where they make raw silk, dyed it with natural colours and then weave the most beautiful pieces.
It was really interesting.
All colours are from plants, beautiful

Any one for a cuppa?
Yep, the worm is not only used for making wonderful scarves but you can drink it's poo!
We declined.
Then we went to a museum all about the different hill tribes and learnt how they live and make their clothes.
We arrived back into town and went to a lovely place on the river made from bamboo on different levels with chill out beds and low tables.

How cool?

The view
We relaxed there for a couple of hours.

The spiders are big here, this one was waiting for his catch in a big web suspended quite high up, clever photo eh?
Last night we took it easy and today I felt dodgy again, and didn't get out of bed 'til 1.30pm the good thing is I have lost weight as my shorts are loose - every cloud has a silver lining!

I can't believe we are now in March, January and February this year have been the best for me since I was in my 20's. It has really made me realise how depressing the British winter is and how we spend all the time trying to keep warm and doing very little else.
I must find a way to do this every year.

I still don't know when I will return, the prospect of coming back to England and having to find a mundane job isn't appealing right now, not sure where I/we will go after this but will try to string it out for a while yet.
